Yesterday afternoon, I was working on a post for today, when a funny development (very quickly) happened, and I wanted to share it with you before I head out for it.
AAGC (Alabama Association for Gifted Children) set aside yesterday for a social media blitz to highlight the needs of gifted children in our state. In Alabama, we are facing another round of defunding for gifted education, and are using social media to advocate.
In the end, Matt Murphy, from The Matt Murphy Show (a local talk radio show), invited someone to come in this morning and talk about gifted education in the state.
Nearly everyone else who wanted to speak will be teaching at the time of the show.
Enter me, from stage left.
On one hand, I am so very nervous, as I feel the weight that will be carried in my words. On the other hand, I’m empowered by the many people who I know need our message to be heard.
I’m good behind a keyboard. I’m praying I can manage behind a mic, because I’ll be on The Matt Murphy Show this morning at 10am, CST. If you are local, you can listen in on the radio (obviously). If you are out of the area, you can listen online or via the iHeartRadio app.
